Please Read this carefully bevor purchasing a STREICH bag

Our bags are made out of vintage or dead stock military material like tent canvas, gun belts, leader straps, zippers and fittings.

Depending on age and general condition of these materials, the bags can have very strong patina. That is what we love. And that's what you should love too, when acquiring a STREICH bag! In order to be fully satisfied with your new favorite piece please consult the photos carefully before pushing the buy button!

CANVAS

We use a very strong black to grey tent canvas for the outer shell of our models SANTORINI, SOHO and ATILLA. This vintage Swiss army tents date sometimes back to WW ll. It is said, that the Swiss army took them over from US army forces that went back home after the war. The Swiss tinted these former green tents black and used them as kitchen tents.

Our weekender model KALAMATA is made of one entire Ausschusszelt 64, a small one man tent which has a camouflage pattern on one side an a military green color on the other side. Original vintage items are very rarely found and extremely expensive. You will be very happy when acquiring one of our very limited KALAMATA models.

All our canvases used have been cleaned carefully before making the bags.

SHOULDER STRAPS AND LEATHER STRAPS

As shoulder straps we usually use French Army gun belts. Some of them are virtually new and some of them have a nice vintage finish. As you can imagine, it is a leather of extremely good quality. 

Our SANTORINI-mulebelt model is fitted with a shoulder strap made out of vintage Swiss cavalry abdominal belts used for their mules.

Most leather straps for hand straps originates from the Czech army or Swiss cavalry. Depending of the availability of the vintage army leather straps, we sometimes use new leather. All the new leather we use is vegetable tanned full grain cowhide leather.

ZIPPERS AND FITTINGS

We normally use Swiss Army RIRI-Zippers of the highest quality.
For our KALAMATA model, we bought all spare RIRI-zippers available which were especially made for the Swiss army fighter jet pilot jackets.

We value craftsmanship. Our designs are created with an eye for detail and perfection. Every product is hand-made, and is either crafted in our workshop by Bruno Streich himself or in partnership with Swiss social Institutions who work with people in difficult social situations like refugees.
